Thanks.

By Kevin Meyer, CEO, Evolving Excellence

Sorry about the absence from Evolving Excellence.  Over the last few weeks I’ve been working through a vision issue that has now been corrected with some successful eye muscle surgery.  In fact, yesterday was the first time I was able to drive.  All is good, and I should be back to normal in a couple weeks.

Two weeks ago I was in the pre-op room, waiting to be put under for a couple hours of surgery, and I had a brief chat with the young woman next to me. Turns out that she had been in Iraq and was having some more metal IED fragments removed from her eyes.  She was the lucky one on that particular mission.

So I’m in that room because I was complaining about double vision in my lower left quadrant that made it a little difficult to read.  And she’s having bomb fragments removed.  Just a little humbling.

That experience pretty much made this Veterans Day all the more real to me.

Thank you.
