Medicine has always been based on a face-to-face encounter with the patient. This has been disrupted by the corona virus epidemic. But the corona virus has been isolated in 1965 in a boy with a common cold. About 20 percent of colds are corona viruses. We have all treated flu and corona virus URIs and we didn’t need a specific viral diagnosis. We just used routine self-isolation measures. Now we are practicing medicine by remote eDocTelemed.com. It’s remarkable how fast this change came about. Closing down our country is very extreme. But our laying down without a whimper is how Stalin, Mao, Hitler, and Mussolini made their first advances which ended up killing one hundred million innocent human beings. I’m sure their citizens didn’t realize early on that could possibly ever happen.
