The practice of medicine has traditionally been of high moral standards, following the Hippocratic and Mosaic Code, supporting the Declaration and the Constitution. One could freely begin a conversation with any doctor and be assured of his moral and political bent.

Those days seem to be gone now. That will destroy our profession.

Hippocrates would turn over in his grave if he could see 21st century medical practice and health care.

“Unless we put medical freedom into the Constitution the time will come when medicine will organize itself into an undercover dictatorship. To restrict the art of healing to doctors and deny equal privileges to others will constitute the Bastille of medical science. All such laws are un-American and despotic.”

          –Benjamin Rush, MD.

Hippocrates would turn over in his grave if he saw an entire medical record on an iPhone. But that’s only part of the tech story.
