Legal Gluttony
After breaking away from a patient who sought his advice for a medical problem on entering a restaurant, a doctor finally made it to his restaurant table. “Do you think I should send her a bill?” the doctor asked the lawyer who was sitting next to him. “Why not?” the lawyer said. “You rendered professional services by giving advice.” When the doctor went to his office the next day to send the bill, he found a note from the lawyer. It read, “For legal services, $50” Feedback . . . Medical Gluttony thrives in Government and Health Insurance Programs. It Disappears with Appropriate Deductibles and Co-payments on Every Service. |
